Marvellous Maths 2

Following on from the success of Marvellous Maths in 2019, I am delighted to announce the launch of a brand new course for maths teachers from me and Craig Barton.

We have worked really hard to produce our course Marvellous Maths 2: Misconceptions, Methods and Mastery. The focus of the course is on the teaching of three fundamental topics: decimals, coordinates and Pythagoras' Theorem. As well as looking at each of these three topics in depth, the course also supports maths teachers more generally in terms of identifying and tackling misconceptions, planning lessons and selecting suitable tasks.

The best way to find out what Marvellous Maths 2 is all about is to watch this seven minute introductory video from me and Craig:

The cost of the course is only £30 per person (which includes £5 VAT). If you're buying for a department or a MAT or an ITT course, please read the FAQs at the bottom of the course page for information on bulk buy discounts.

Although it's a shame I won't get the opportunity to meet lots of lovely maths teachers when running CPD this year, there are clear advantages to this course being online. One advantage is that no one needs to ask for a day out of school, and another is that once you buy the course you can easily dip in and out of the content at your convenience.

The platform is super smart and easy to use. Delegates move through videos from me and Craig, and between each video there are prompts to think about, and links to resources.

I learnt a lot whilst writing this course, and my subject knowledge is much better as a result. I also discovered lots of great resources that I'd not seen before.

I'm really pleased with how well Marvellous Maths 2 has turned out, and I can't wait for teachers to start signing up. I really hope that delegates enjoy it, and get a lot out of it.

Do check it out and let me know what you think!
